Do you buy worn out or failed turbo cores?

Yes. Worn out cores are what we remanufacture. We accept cores with bearing wear, shaft play, oil leaks, worn seals, carbon build up, stuck vanes, and failed VGT actuators. The core needs to be complete and not broken apart, with no cracked housings, missing wheels, or fire and impact damage.

Do you buy turbo actuators separately from the turbocharger?

Yes. We buy electronic and VGT turbo actuator cores on their own, including Cummins, PACCAR, Volvo, and Mack units. Actuators are bought by part number, so include the label from the housing when you request a quote.

How much do you pay for a turbo core?

Payment depends on the make, part number, condition, and quantity. High demand heavy duty cores pay the most, and volume lots are quoted at a higher per unit rate. Send the part numbers, quantities, and photos and we will send a firm quote, not an estimate.

How do I ship my cores to HD Turbo?

Once your quote is approved we send a prepaid shipping label for small shipments or arrange freight pickup for pallets. Drain the oil, cap or tape the openings, and pack each core so the wheels and actuator are protected. Local customers can drop cores off at our Elk Grove Village, Illinois facility.

When do I get paid for my cores?

Cores are inspected the day they arrive and payment is issued after inspection confirms the units match the quote. We pay by check, ACH, or credit against a future turbo or actuator purchase. Fleets and shops that send cores regularly can set up a standing account.

Is there a minimum quantity to sell cores?

No. We buy a single turbo or actuator core from an owner operator, and we buy full pallets from fleets, dealers, and salvage yards. There is no minimum and no account required to get a quote.
